Delphine Girard
Lawyer - Partner - Lyon Bar
Delphine joined Ooslo in 2024 as a partner to create the Compliance & Data department, reinforcing the firm's skills and those of its IP/IT department in the Data field.

She assists companies of all sizes (Start-ups, SMEs, Large Groups) in their development and compliance issues related to Business Ethics, (Sapin II Compliance Program, Duty of Vigilance, Whistleblowing and Internal Investigations...) and Data (GDPR, AI ...).

With nearly 15 years' experience in the corporate world, Delphine was especially responsible for the operational deployment of the Group's compliance program. She has thus developed very practical expertise in compliance issues and Business Ethics questions within a major Group, while retaining a strategic approach to these key topics.

Previously head of legal affairs for several years, Delphine has acquired expertise incontract drafting and negotiation, as well as in strategic project management. She has also been Data Protection Officer (DPD/DPO) for major groups (Deloitte France, Groupe Seb, Groupe Clariane).
Data protection is one of her long-standing areas of expertise, particularly in the field of health and e-health. With more than five years' experience at Clariane, a leader in the medical and healthcare sectors, she has honed her expertise and strategic vision of Artificial Intelligence, its challenges and ethical issues.

Delphine's daily challenge is to make regulatory constraints intelligible and operational, in the service of companies' needs and the development of their innovations, namely digital.
Ooslo@Delphine, what do you like about this job?
First and foremost, being a lawyer involves creating a genuine relationship of trust with our clients, looking for expert opinions and advice on their strategic and regulatory issues. The lawyer's full commitment is absolutely essential for this.

My corporate experience in strategic positions has given me a real practical and educational mindset. This enables me to provide advice that can easily be applied operationally, and to offer our clients concrete solutions.
This “Business Partner” positioning seems essential to me in the relationship I develop with my clients, in an approach to risk management that is as balanced as possible. Making complex regulatory issues accessible and understandable is, in my view, the cornerstone of our profession.
Last but not least, in both business companies and law firms, I am deeply committed to relationship and the human dimension, and I see each assignment as an opportunity to learn from each other's diverse practices and experiences.
